Shipment Heading Out To Mr Velez, Bronx NY Community Organizer

Gloves for Good made contact with Mr. Velez again over the holidays to see what he may need for this coming Spring season.  He is a father, living in the Bronx NY, who teaches baseball to all kids in the neighborhood.  In the past we have sent the boys some gloves, baseballs, bats, cleats and new batting gloves. Since then, Mr. Velez has had more neighborhood players join him. Today, G4G sent him and his boys a number metal bats, fielding gloves and cleats.  He still needs some baseball socks and batting gloves for the boys and we will keep and eye out for those.  The equipment came from various collection drives we did this Fall.  Shipping  was via our preferred provided UPS was paid  for using donations through our PayPal Account. To find out how you can donate, please visit our "Take Action" Page on our website.

Lizzy, my older sister and VP of Marketing for G4G,  was home from college so she helped me sort, pack and ship the boxes to Mr Alvarez and she was also going through the website to make some improvements and help get my stories back up to date.

Note from Mr Velez

Hey Will

I just wanted to say thank you so much for always helping us in our journey with kids.  You guys are amazing, thanks again and god bless you in all that you do.

If you come across any softball bats, socks and a new first base glove please keep me us in mind.

 Again thanks

 Antonio
